Vinho Verde 'alr' DOC

Vinho verde, a wine from the Minho region in Northern Portugal - infact sitting right next door to Spain - is a wine that largely fell out of fashion in the 90's and 00's. However due to, often small family producers offering carefully made and well crafted wines, with increasingly modern wine making techniques, it is starting to make a comeback amongst 'in the know' wine enthusiasts.

This particular vinho verde is produced by Antonio Ribeiro and his partner Sara Dionisio. Pleasurable and refreshing to drink it has been discribed as a, "ripe, full, great gastronomic wine". Just off dry it makes a great aperitif and is good with light meals or asian dishes. I am a particular enthusiast.
