Located in the Southern Rhone valley, Domaine Montirius is a fifth generation family estate, presently run by Eric Saurel and his wife Christine. Their belief in the health benefits of natural farming led them to convert their estate to biodynamic methods well before it was 'in trend'. They have striven to prove that biodynamic was not a passing fad and in the process have produced many award winning highly regarded vintages.

The harvest is all carried out by hand, the pickers tasting and testing the grapes on a daily basis to make sure they are ready for harvesting.

The wine's powerful aromas and flavours are due to, on average, 65 year old vines some dating back to 1925.

In our opinion, a real treat not to be passed up.
